The 2017-18 campaign delivered a sensational, promotion-challenging return to the Championship for Millwall as The Lions clinched a spectacular 8th-place finish, their highest in 16 years, narrowly missing the play-offs by just three points. Leading the charge were the joint top scorers, George Saville and Lee Gregory, whose 10 goals each proved vital in a season built on incredible momentum and a phenomenal club-record 17-game unbeaten run in the second tier.
