The 2017-18 campaign for FC Sochaux was a turbulent year of financial upheaval and near-misses, as Les Lionceaux secured a deeply disappointing 10th-place finish in Ligue 2. Despite the off-field chaos, the team found moments of brilliance, spearheaded by star creator Florian Martin, whose 12 crucial goals anchored the attack alongside Aldo Kalulu's 11.
