Notes - Track top released as Manchester United looked to build on the previous seasons 2nd place finish but a terrible start to the campaign led to the departure of José Mourinho in December. Club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came in as caretaker manager and put together a brilliant run of form. The Norwegian signed as permanent manager in March which coincided with a huge swing in form resulting in the side missing out on a Champions League place. This season will be fondly remembered for the brilliant comeback against PSG to earn a place in the Champions League Quarter-finals
