Notes
The 2018-19 campaign delivered ultimate glory for Union Berlin as Die Eisernen secured a historic, maiden promotion to the Bundesliga. Under new manager Urs Fischer, the team finished a valiant 3rd in the 2. Bundesliga on the back of an incredible 17-match unbeaten streak and their formidable home form at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Leading the attack was the Swedish target man Sebastian Andersson, whose 12 crucial league goals proved vital in a season built on fierce unity and gritty determination. The promotion was dramatically sealed in the two-legged play-off against VfB Stuttgart on the away goals rule, marking the club's first-ever appearance in the top flight and cementing this unforgettable year as the most famous chapter in Union Berlin's history.
