Notes

The 2018-19 campaign was a season of soaring ambition and spectacular attacking intent for Mansfield Town, with The Stags finishing a strong 4th in League Two and securing a coveted spot in the play-offs. Leading the charge was the prolific on-loan forward Tyler Walker, whose sensational 22 league goals (26 overall) anchored the attack and earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year. The season, built on a formidable home record at Field Mill under manager David Flitcroft, ultimately ended in heartbreak when The Stags lost the play-off semi-final against Newport County in a dramatic penalty shootout, narrowly missing out on promotion after a 1-1 aggregate draw. It was a hard-fought year that re-established the club as genuine challengers for the top tiers.. The 2019-20 campaign was a turbulent, survival-driven season for Mansfield Town, with The Stags ultimately finishing a perilous 21st in League Two after the season was curtailed and the final position was decided on a points-per-game basis. Despite the mid-season managerial upheaval, which saw John Dempster replaced by Graham Coughlan, the team's top-scorer, veteran striker Nicky Maynard, delivered a crucial 14 league goals to anchor the attack. The season was built on a desperate fight to avoid the drop, marking a tense and unforgettable chapter that saw the club cling to its Football League status.
