In the 2018 Major League Soccer season, the Philadelphia Union enjoyed their most successful campaign to date under manager Jim Curtin, securing a franchise-high 50 points and 15 wins. The team clinched a spot in the MLS Cup Playoffs as the Eastern Conference's bottom seed. Additionally, the Union put together a strong run in the U.S. Open Cup, reaching the tournament final for the third time in club history, though they ultimately finished as runners-up to the Houston Dynamo.. In their tenth MLS season, the Philadelphia Union enjoyed a historic 2019 campaign under head coach Jim Curtin. The team finished 3rd in the Eastern Conference and 5th overall, setting new club records for single-season points (55), wins (16), and goals scored (58).
