Notes

The 2019-20 campaign delivered a highly competitive season for Borussia Dortmund as Die Schwarzgelben finished a strong 2nd in the Bundesliga, securing a crucial spot in the UEFA Champions League. The team's attack was absolutely lethal, setting a new club record of 84 league goals. Spearheading this prolific forward line was the brilliant young winger Jadon Sancho, whose 17 league goals and 16 assists cemented a phenomenal season. The campaign was further defined by the sensational mid-season arrival of teenage striker Erling Haaland, who instantly added 13 goals in 15 games. It was a successful year that featured a key victory over rivals Bayern Munich to clinch the DFL-Supercup and remains a defining chapter of attacking brilliance and significant progress under manager Lucien Favre.
