The 2019-20 campaign delivered an unforgettable, pandemic-curtailed title triumph for Coventry City as the Sky Blues clinched the League One championship and secured promotion back to the EFL Championship via the unweighted Points Per Game method. Leading the charge was the prolific striker Matthew Godden, whose 14 league goals and consistent form earned him a spot in the PFA Team of the Year. It was a momentous year of consolidation and growth under manager Mark Robins, marking their hard-fought return to the second tier for the first time since 2012.
