Notes

The 2019-20 campaign was a season of agonizing drama for Perugia as Grifoni finished 16th in Serie B, which forced them into the tense, decisive relegation play-out. Leading the charge was the sensational centre-forward Pietro Iemmello, whose prolific 19 goals earned him the second-highest scorer title in the entire league, proving his world-class ability. Yet, despite his incredible individual heroics and a team built on resilience, the club suffered a devastating defeat in the play-out against Pescara. It was a turbulent year, prematurely curtailed by the pandemic, that saw the historic club drop down to the third tier, making Iemmello's individual brilliance a poignant, unforgettable memory in a season ultimately defined by relegation heartbreak.
