Notes

The 2019-20 campaign delivered a hard-fought automatic promotion for Plymouth Argyle as The Pilgrims, led by manager Ryan Lowe, clinched a crucial 3rd-place finish in League Two. The season, which marked their immediate return to the professional ranks, was built on a run of strong form and was spearheaded by the club's Player of the Season, Antoni Sarcevic, whose 10 league goals proved decisive. The climax was memorable and unconventional, with the final standings and promotion being decided on an unweighted points-per-game basis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cementing their triumphant return to League One.
