In the 2019 MLS season, the Seattle Sounders FC enjoyed a highly successful campaign under head coach Brian Schmetzer. Finishing 2nd in the Western Conference and 4th overall with a 16-8-10 record, the team relied on a potent offense led by top scorer Raúl Ruidíaz. The Sounders excelled in the postseason, ultimately reaching the MLS Cup final at CenturyLink Field. In front of a franchise-record crowd of 69,274 fans, they defeated Toronto FC 3-1 to capture their second MLS Cup title.
