Notes

In the 2019–20 season, SPAL finished 20th in Serie A, resulting in relegation to Serie B after three consecutive seasons in the top flight. The team struggled throughout the campaign, managing just 5 wins in 38 matches under coaches Leonardo Semplici and later Luigi Di Biagio.
