Notes

The 2019-20 campaign delivered a devastating and controversial end for Tranmere Rovers as the Super Whites were unfairly relegated to League Two, finishing 21st in League One. Their fate was sealed by a highly contested unweighted Points-Per-Game (PPG) decision due to the pandemic, despite a late-season surge that saw them win their last three matches and sit just three points from safety. Leading the charge for goals in the shortened season was Morgan Ferrier, whose 5 league goals were vital, while an unforgettable FA Cup run provided a financial lifeline and a memorable home tie against Manchester United. It was a turbulent year that remains etched in history as an 'unjust' chapter, which the club was determined to use as fuel for an immediate return.
