The 2020-21 campaign was a turbulent yet impressive one for Salford City as The Ammies secured an 8th-place finish in League Two, narrowly missing out on the play-off spots despite achieving 71 points. The season was defined by managerial change, with Graham Alexander and Richie Wellens both departing before Gary Bowyer took the helm, yet the team remained resolute. Leading the charge with his trademark tenacity and experience was veteran forward Ian Henderson, whose crucial 17 league goals anchored a side that boasted one of the league's best defensive records, conceding only 34 times, marking a definitive chapter of consolidation and near-success in their rapid climb through the professional ranks.
