Notes

The 2020 campaign delivered a season of exhilarating drama for Santos as Peixe secured a respectable 8th-place finish in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, but were primarily defined by their spectacular, emotional run to the Copa Libertadores Final. Leading the charge was the talismanic forward Marinho, whose 17 goals in the league (24 across all competitions) anchored the attack and saw him crowned the prestigious Rei da América (King of America) as the continent's best player. The season, managed largely by Cuca, featured unforgettable knockout performances before suffering a narrow, heartbreaking final defeat to rivals Palmeiras, and it remains a golden, defining chapter of the club's fighting spirit.
