Notes

The 2020-21 campaign delivered a season of soaring ambition and eventual heartbreak for Swansea City as the Swans secured a strong 4th-place finish in the Championship under manager Steve Cooper. The year was built on a formidable defensive foundation, with the team conceding a league-low 39 goals and goalkeeper Freddie Woodman recording a division-leading 20 clean sheets. Leading the charge was the talismanic forward André Ayew, whose 16 league goals (17 overall) proved crucial in securing a second consecutive play-off spot for the first time in 15 years. However, the season ended in crushing disappointment with a 2-0 play-off final loss to Brentford at Wembley, which tragically marked the final game for the club's top goalscorer, Ayew.
