Away shirt as worn when Atleti couldn't replicate last season's success and finished 3rd in the league. In the Champions League, the side got through a tough group containing Liverpool, Porto and AC Milan in second place. The Madrid based side then faced back-to-back trips to Manchester, first dispatching of Manchester United before being knocked out by Manchester City in a fiery affair. Inspired by the away design worn by Kiko, Pantic and Simeone during the 1995/96 La Liga and Copa Del Rey double campaign, the shirt uses dark blue and red colours to honour the team of legends
