Notes

The 2021-22 campaign was a season of profound change and rising momentum for Ipswich Town as The Tractor Boys ultimately climbed to an 11th-place finish in League One. The year was defined by a critical managerial shift, with the arrival of Kieran McKenna in December igniting a sharp upturn in form and injecting new hope into Portman Road. Leading the charge were the joint top league scorers, the returning Macauley Bonne and the breakout star Wes Burns, whose 12 goals each proved vital; Burns' sensational season earned him a spot in the League One Team of the Season and the Supporters' Player of the Year award. Despite missing out on the play-offs, the second half of the season showcased a significant return to ambition and laid the progressive groundwork for the club's remarkable future success.
