Notes

The 2021-22 campaign was a season of soaring hope and a play-off near-miss for Millwall as The Lions, under manager Gary Rowett, finished a competitive 9th in the Championship, missing the top-six by just six points on the final day. Leading the charge was the prolific loan striker Benik Afobe, whose 12 crucial league goals anchored an attack built on the side’s formidable defense and a tremendous home record that saw them secure 45 of their 69 points at The Den. It was a defiant year defined by the resilience of Player of the Season Murray Wallace and the consistent performances of goalkeeper Bartosz Białkowski, marking a strong, consolidated chapter in the club's battle to return to the elite.
