Notes

The 2021-22 campaign was a tumultuous season of transition for Sampdoria as the Blucerchiati struggled to find consistency under two different managers, Roberto D'Aversa and Marco Giampaolo, ultimately finishing a safe 15th in Serie A. Despite the instability, veteran striker Francesco Caputo led the line, whose 11 crucial goals proved vital in securing top-flight safety for the club. The year was defined by a battle to stay clear of the drop zone and included a run to the Round of 16 in the Coppa Italia, marking a challenging but ultimately successful chapter in the club's history.
