Leading the charge with his best-ever return was the prolific Polish centre-forward Dawid Kownacki, whose 14 crucial league goals (16 overall) spearheaded an attack that earned the club an impressive +17 goal difference. Under the astute management of Daniel Thioune, the team showed tremendous spirit, fighting until the final matchday and delivering a solid cup run to the Round of 16 in the DFB-Pokal.
