In their third MLS season, Inter Miami CF finished 6th in the Eastern Conference with a 14-6-14 record, securing 48 points under head coach Phil Neville. Led by captain Gonzalo Higuain, who retired at the end of the campaign, the team turned their year around following a tough start and the mid-season addition of Alejandro Pozuelo. Miami reached the MLS Cup Playoffs, where they were eliminated 3-0 by New York City FC in the first round, and reached the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16.
