The 2022-23 campaign delivered a triumphant return to the second tier for Ipswich Town as The Tractor Boys surged to a spectacular 2nd-place finish and automatic promotion to the EFL Championship. Leading the charge was the sensational centre-forward Conor Chaplin, whose league-leading 26 goals earned him the Golden Boot and proved decisive in a campaign built on attacking brilliance, seeing the team score an incredible 101 goals. Under manager Kieran McKenna, it was a standout year that marked the end of the club's four-season stay in League One and remains a defining chapter in The Tractor Boys' modern history.
