The 2022-23 campaign delivered an ambitious but disappointing season for AS Monaco as Les Monegasques finished 6th in Ligue 1, falling short of European qualification. Leading the charge was their prolific captain Wissam Ben Yedder, whose 19 goals proved vital in a campaign built on attacking flair but ultimately hampered by instability and a poor run of form. It was a frustrating year that saw the club miss out on Europe for the following season.
