Notes

The 2022-23 campaign was a dramatic, season-long battle for survival for Oxford United, as The Us ultimately finished a precarious 19th in League One, narrowly avoiding relegation to the fourth tier. The year was defined by a turbulent mid-season that saw a club-record 17-game winless streak and the eventual sacking of manager Karl Robinson, before the arrival of Liam Manning steered the club to safety. Providing the crucial goals in the desperate fight to avoid the drop were the joint league top-scorers, Cameron Brannagan and Kyle Joseph, who both netted 9 times. Despite the struggles, the season also featured a memorable run to the FA Cup Third Round, where they hosted Premier League leaders Arsenal, marking a chapter of anxiety, change, and ultimate League One survival.
