The 2022-23 campaign delivered a triumphant, history-making season for RB Leipzig as Die Roten Bullen secured Champions League football by finishing 3rd in the Bundesliga and successfully defended the DFB-Pokal. The defining moment came in the DFB-Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt, where a late surge of brilliance from star man Christopher Nkunku, who grabbed a goal and an assist, led to a 2-0 victory with Dominik Szoboszlai sealing the win. Nkunku finished the year with a spectacular 23 goals across all competitions, proving decisive in a campaign built on Marco Rose's high-pressing philosophy and the development of young talent.
