The 2022-23 campaign delivered a deeply frustrating season for Doncaster Rovers as the club struggled to re-establish themselves following relegation, ultimately finishing 18th in League Two. Leading the charge was the newly-signed forward George Miller, whose 11 crucial league goals proved vital in a campaign built on inconsistency, managerial turmoil, and the disappointment of 23 league defeats. It was a turbulent year that marked a difficult return to the fourth tier and remains a painful but defining chapter in the club's modern history.
