The Almere City 2024-25 Cup shirt features clay patterns as a tribute to the clay soil on which Almere was built. The shirt would be worn for the first time in an away match against amateur side Quick Boys in the First Round of the KNVB Cup, but the referee did not allow the kit to be worn, stating it looked too similar to that of Quick Boys. Almere City lost the match 3-0 and were knocked out of the cup. Thus, the kit has never been worn in an official match.
