In the 2024 season, Xeneizes showed competitive spirit across several tournaments under manager Diego Martínez and later interim Mariano Herrón. A major highlight for the squad was winning the Superclásico against arch-rivals River Plate with a thrilling 3-2 victory to advance to the Copa de la Liga semifinals. Key players like Edinson Cavani and Miguel Merentiel anchored the attack, while young talents like Aaron Anselmino, who secured a high-profile transfer to Chelsea, anchored the defense.
