The 2024–25 season for Kettering Town FC was a highly memorable rollercoaster for Poppies fans, marked by a historic cup run and a dramatic fight for promotion. Playing in the Southern League Premier Division Central, the team spent much of the campaign fighting at the top of the table and ultimately finished as league runners-up. Though they successfully navigated the play-off semi-finals on penalties against Harborough Town, they ultimately missed out on promotion after a 4–2 defeat to AFC Telford United in the final. Beyond their league success, the absolute highlight of the season came in the FA Cup, where they achieved a stunning 2–1 first-round proper upset against local rivals Northampton Town before bowing out to Doncaster Rovers in the second round.
