In the 2024 MLS season, the New York Red Bulls, led by head coach Sandro Schwarz, finished 7th in the Eastern Conference and 16th overall during the regular season. Despite entering the MLS Cup Playoffs as the lowest seed, they went on a remarkable postseason run. They upset the Columbus Crew, New York City FC, and Orlando City SC to secure their first Eastern Conference Championship since 2008. They ultimately finished as runners-up after falling to the LA Galaxy in the MLS Cup Final. Forward Lewis Morgan led the team in scoring with 13 goals.
