In the 2024 MLS season, New York City FC finished 6th in the Eastern Conference and 13th overall with a 14-12-8 record, accumulating 50 points. Led by head coach Nick Cushing, the team split its home matches between Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. In the MLS Cup Playoffs, they won a three-game series against FC Cincinnati in the first round before being eliminated by rivals New York Red Bulls in the Conference Semifinals. They also reached the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup.. In the 2025 Major League Soccer season, New York City FC celebrated its 10th anniversary by finishing 5th in the Eastern Conference and 9th overall with 56 points. Led by head coach Pascal Jansen, the club played its home matches across Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. In the postseason, NYCFC put together a strong run, ultimately advancing to the Conference Finals of the MLS Cup Playoffs. Additionally, the team reached the Round of 32 in the U.S. Open Cup and competed in the Leagues Cup league phase.
