In the 2025 Major League Soccer season, the Columbus Crew marked their 30th year in the league, finishing 7th in the Eastern Conference and 12th overall with a 14-12-8 record. Under head coach Wilfried Nancy in his final season with the club, the Crew's MLS Cup defense fell short as they were eliminated by New York Red Bulls in the opening round of the playoffs. Diego Rossi led the team's offense as the top scorer with 19 goals across all competitions, while the team also reached the Round of 16 in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
