Mexico brought a whole new design concept to the 1998 World Cup with their amazing shirts covered by a huge graphic of the Aztec calendar. The Sun Stone kits were the creation of Mexican brand ABA Sport, who landed the national team in 1996 and wanted to make a statement by leaning into local culture - a bold and innovative move at the time.

The world was also introduced to the "Blanco Bounce", with Luis Hernandez banging them in with his blond hair flowing and Jorge Campos playing in goal but wearing outfield shirts - they were flamboyant and captivating.
